“Quit waiting for the one moment that changes your life. Every moment changes your life.” -Anonymous
-Do you feel like your cell phone has hijacked your life?
-Do you feel like you never have enough quality time with the people you love?
-Do you feel like each year gets busier, with more demands, more obligations, more stress?
I’m looking for a group of people who want to join me on a life-changing journey. In 2011, I’m launching a Coaching and Mentoring Program.
For those who share my commitment to making 2011 a year with more moments and less distractions, I invite you to join me and a committed group of people from around the world for a pioneering wellness experience.
I will be your guide. But please note, I am the type of guide who enjoys a glass of Cabernet, indulges in exotic chocolate, and wants to live a more authentic life in the moment! If this is the first time you’ve stumbled across my website, to tell you a bit more…
I’ve made my mark as a Yahoo! Wellness Expert by pioneering a unique approach to wellness, fusing physical wellness with chocolate, wine, and food tastings. While this has irked the purists, it has been championed by the mainstream American media with my programs having been featured in The New York Times, Newsweek, O Magazine and others.
I’m calling those who join me on this journey, The Livin the Moment Posse, a group of people looking for a lifestyle enhancement that comes not from deprivation, but rather from mindful indulgence, love, and passion!
Following are frequently asked questions and answers about my Coaching and Mentoring Program for those of you interested in being part of the Livin the Moment Posse and laying deep roots in the power of the present moment:
1. Where will your Coaching and Mentoring Program take place?
My Coaching and Mentoring Program will bring something totally fresh and pioneering to wellness. How? It’s a program you can experience in the comfort of your own time, in your own hometown. You will not need to book a flight or hotel, nor will you need to be away from your family or work.
The Program will inspire you to live life to the fullest offline, challenging you to spend more time with your kids, or best friends, doing things you never take time to do (ie a trip to the art museum, a night at a rock concert, a swim in the lake). And the program will ask you for 30 seconds each day to check in online. There will be an exclusive spot on the web called OASIS which will only be available to the Livin the Moment Posse.
Now you might be thinking, “Great just what I need, another thing to do on the webi.” I’ll only ask you to check in for 30 seconds and report a beautiful, funny, or delicious moment in your day. Think about how many days go by where we don’t remember a single thing that happened. Do you have 30 seconds each day to stop and smell the roses? Or are you in too big of a rush to stop, appreciate life, and share something you tasted, heard, or enjoyed in the midst of life's bump and grind?
2. Yeah Dave, here’s what I really want to know. How will my life improve by registering for your Coaching and Mentoring Program?
–You’ll take time to eat chocolate, listen to music, smell lavender, and live a sweeter life in the moment in 2011: If you’ve heard of Oprah’s Favorite Things, get ready for Yeah Dave’s Delicious Doodads. You may have experienced my Yoga + Chocolate, Yoga + Wine, or Yoga for Foodies workshops, and you know how much value I place on livin the moment through sensory ecstasy. Throughout 2011, you will receive in the regular mail from me packages featuring an array of treats. Expect the unexpected. From Vosges Chocolate to a Flip Video camera to lavender from the French Alps, a trip to the mailbox will become a sensory adventure.
–You’ll be more present, more often: Each week, there will be a challenge that I’ll ask everyone in the Livin the Moment Posse to commit to. I’m not talkin’ about the standard wellness challenges like eating better or running farther. I’m talkin’ about staying more present with your children or challenging yourself NOT to make turning on the cell phone the first thing you do when waking up in the morning. I’m talkin’ about challenges that improve your quality of life right away.
–You’ll see things with fresh eyes: I will challenge you each month to experience a Livin the Moment Adventure which will send you on a local journey into the art museums, legendary restaurants, natural parks, concert halls, vistas, and venues of your hometown. I’ll record (via photo or video) and share with you my adventures in my new home of New York City and in return, I’ll ask you to record your adventures and share with the other folks in our Livin the Moment Posse.
–You’ll deepen your bonds with those you love most: The ‘adventures’ mentioned above will require you to go to a rock concert with your best friend, spend an afternoon in a natural park with your children, go on a solo mission into the depths of an art museum, spend an afternoon giving much-needed love to an elderly person..all the stuff that sounds so nice but we might not take the time to actually do.
–You’ll take more time to do yoga: Each month I’ll send you an audio recording of one of my yoga classes that you can practice in the comfort of your home. Nobody else will have access to these yoga classes. Only the Livin the Moment Posse. And if you don’t do yoga, no worries. This is not a requirement. But the recordings will share quotes, stories, and insights that will at least encourage you to practice a little stretching of the mind, if not the body.
–You’ll take more time to travel: In June, I will hold a 3 day weekend Yoga + Chocolate Festival with Katrina Markoff, founder of Vosges Haut-Chocolat. Details will be disclosed soon after the program launches.
3. What happens once I sign up?
–Once I receive your registration, I will ask you to fill out a brief survey so we can get better acquainted.
–Then, you will hear from me with a special greeting, and you’ll receive in the mail your first Yeah Dave’s Delicious Doodad…a Flip video camera. This is the first of several gifts from me that are included in the cost of the program. You’ll be receiving this Flip video camera in your home’s mailbox in December prior to launch of my Coaching and Mentoring program on 1/11/11.
-Why am I gifting you a Flipcam? Because a huge part of my program will ask you to record video of your experiences throughout 2011. And if you already have a Flip or another video camera, gift this new one to someone who could benefit from documenting more time in the moment in 2011.
–On 1/11/11, you will receive your username and password for OASIS which will be the Private Portal where the Livin the Moment Posse will check in for 30 seconds each day.
4. I’m IN! How much is the cost of your Coaching and Mentoring Program?
Coaching and mentoring programs such as this can run anywhere from several thousand dollars all the way up to tens of thousands of dollars. To attend a 3 day retreat with me could cost you twenty-two hundred dollars, to hire me as a private 1-on-1 coach for 12 months runs my clients ten-thousand dollars per year. After considering all the costs associated with running this level of coaching and mentoring in this intimate group setting, I’ve decided to make this within the reach of anyone who is truly serious about making 2011 their best year of their lives.
The cost is 3 payments of $695 or one payment up front of $1,997. By making this investment in yourself, you’ll be much more aware of the present moment in 2011 with the result being a happier, more peaceful life that will improve your relationships, appreciation, focus, and passion. That’s MY PROMISE to you.
5. I’ve been a huge fan of your Yoga + Chocolate events. Will this Coaching and Mentoring Program play to that tune?
ONLY available to participants in my Coaching and Mentoring Program will be a 3 day YOGA + CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL with Katrina Markoff, founder of Vosges Haut-Chocolat. Katrina pioneered a movement in food, was American Express’s Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, Bon Appeit Magazine’s Food Artisan of the Year, CEO of an Inc. 500 Top Growth company, judge on the hit TV show Iron Chef, and featured speaker at the prestigious TED Conference. It’s gonna be an amazing weekend of chocolate feasting with a real life Willie Wonka.
This YOGA + CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL will take place in Katrina’s hometown of Chicago June 17-19. If Chicago is not quite your version of Tulum, consider what a weekend wonderland of exotic chocolate up close and personal with one of the world’s greatest chocolatiers might do for your mind, body, and spirit.
6. I’ve heard enough and I’m in! When can I sign up?
If the program is not filled to capacity, the deadline for registration is January 10. Register on my home page at www.livinthemoment.com or www.yeahdave.com (both land on the same website)
7. How can I pay for your Coaching and Mentoring Program?
Payments for my Coaching and Mentoring Program can be made by Visa, Mastercard, or Paypal on my website. You will have the option of making 3 payments of $695 or 1 payment of $1997.
8. What if I try it and it's not right for me?
I can promise you that my experience as a bestselling author, Yahoo! Wellness Expert, and creator of Yoga + Chocolate, Yoga + Wine, and Yoga for Foodies programs will be seen, tasted, and evidenced in this year long Coaching and Mentoring experience.
You will get out of this Program what you put into it. And if you join the Livin the Moment posse and commit yourself to the monthly and weekly challenges and in 90 days you not satisfied and/or delighted, I will offer you 100% money back and you can keep the camera and any of the other gifts you’ve received from me. That’s how much I’m staking on the impact this will program will have on you!
9. What if I want to take it even deeper and do a 1 on 1 Coaching and Mentoring Program with you?
I do offer 1 on 1 Coaching which you can ask me about via email (yeahdave@mac.com). In this Coaching and Mentoring program, you will feel a very intimate connection. I’ve been on the road teaching and sharing for the better part of the past decade, and I’m going to redirect almost all of my energy toward you and the Livin the Moment Posse.
10. Will this benefit a worthy cause…other than my peace of mind?
On 10/10/10, my last surviving grandparent, Grandma Evelyn, passed away (see photo of us this past July). I was close with her, and I noticed a sadness in and around the Retirement Home in which she resided. It’s hard getting old in America. We tend to neglect our senior citizens dumping them in retirement homes and visiting them when and if we have time. And those are the lucky ones. Many cannot afford the cost of a retirement home, nor have even a single relative to nurture and care for them in the final years of life.
The recession has especially impacted seniors with an increasing number of elderly homeless. In my Coaching and Mentoring program, I will emphasize the importance of a strong connection with our grandparents, or if we don’t have surviving grandparents, giving our time to elderly people in need of some love. There is no population in our society who are more in the moment than our senior citizens. They’re in the twilight of their lives and each moment could be their last. They are living each day to the fullest.
Some of our weekly and monthly challenges will focus on your relationships with seniors whether they are grandparents, relatives, or elderly people living in your neighborhood retirement center that you want to reach out to. By the time you are done with my Coaching and Mentoring Program, it is my sincere hope that we will all have a greater appreciation for our senior citizens, the wisdom and life experience they can provide us, and the much needed love and nurturing we can provide for them.
11. What if I don’t do yoga?
No problem. While one of the things you’ll receive with this program is exclusive audio downloads to my yoga classes that are otherwise not available, you do NOT need to do yoga nor even like yoga. This program is not a yoga program, but rather a program focused on helping you enjoy life by embracing the things YOU love most.
So excited for Opening Day on 1/11/11...

Wow Dave! I am jazzed and excited for you. This is really taking shape and I applaud ALL that went into this to get it to this point.
Can’t wait to see what comes up next Wednesday. Talk about a moment!
Happy Thanksgiving to you McKenna, xx Dave
WoW! Incredible.. I’m in =)
One thing I truly love about this life is that no matter where we are, or what our personal circumstances, we are continually given choices to make, roads to choose. Sometimes this is a difficult and frightening thing, and it can feel exhausting too, when we have to make truly hard and painful choices. And I know very well that struggling with illness, pain, loss, or any other life compromising issues can make us FEEL as though all our choices are being made for us, that we have No control anymore about how to live our lives. But always within us is a choice to open our eyes, to reach out, to face the day with courage or hope or at least the determination to brush our teeth! I am grateful to be given the choice to try this program and to reach for something more. Namaste.
Alexandra: I am grateful for you embracing it. I can make no promises other than you’ll get everything I’ve got…every ounce of heart and soul as I am committed totally and completely to making this experience unforgettable for you and everyone in the Posse. And what you said, about “within us is a choice to open our eyes, to reach out, to face the day with courage.” PERFECTLY and BEAUTIFULLY STATED. Thank you and really look forward to sharing a very special year together in 2011.
Sounds like a Really wonderful well -rounded plan to get us focused more on NOW, with less regrets about the past, and less fears about the future. More focus on things that bring joy….Joy, even Joy observed raises endorphins.
We’ll be getting back to our roots, where all of the nutrients are, right? We’ll BE the roots. The Roots that provide nourishment to the branches. We can then branch out, sharing inevitably our presence with others, and INveitably, our presence invites the presence of those around us. Before long, there’ll be no such thing as an OASIS, because We’ll all be in it. It won’t be this vague place that we use to dream about, We’ll be in it. Everyone. I can see it…..
So did i read these comments right, is there a hey Dave that is friends with Yeah Dave, that is hysterical-You already know how grateful i am to have encountered you and had opportunities to write and share a bit about moments in my life so i can’t imagine a whole year of bonding wow ! As i was reading all the outings you will ask us to do, a bit of panicked surfaced, how will i do that with my work schedule? I am not sure how i became such a workaholic, i guess i don’t view what i do as work, but more as a blessing, but still i know i give so much energy to that, to avoid other parts of my life where there is more struggle-You know, my father is an artist and i am so grateful for him, i love him more than words, but growing up, my whole life i always felt like his “work ” was more important, that every time i just wanted to spend time together that was not possible-It was not necessary and now i look at Moses my 6 year old son, who is the greatest gift in my life and i do not want him to feel that way-I can not wait to be part of the Posse-I see us like in West Side Story, will there be a posse dance too ? jk-Or maybe a song ? I hope Betsy will join us too-Happy Thanksgiving-gratitude for being here-e*
Christine! LOVE IT!! Can’t wait til 1/11/11 launch day!
DAVE thank you so much it will be a special moment next Wednesday when the Livin’ the Moment Posse takes shape…
Ella i totally hear you on not enough time and that’s what I know will be great about forming this tribe of people commited to restoring the quality of the moment and the sacredness of time with the people we love most…like MOSES!!!
happy thanksgiving to you too, can’t wait for 2011, and i also hope and have a clear vision of Betsy with us in the Posse (:
Gloria LOVE what you said about OASIS now being an oasis but with little groups like the Posse, hopefully the norm will become more MOMENTS less distractions. Instead of MORE DISTRACTIONS less moments. Here’s to 2011 being a change in course, even if its a slight one. “The least deviation from truth will be manifest a thousand fold.”
Hey, i think you visited my website so i came to “return the favour”.I am trying to find things to improve my website!I suppose its ok to use some of your ideas!!
You have obviously put a lot of time, thought, and love into the development of this program–looking forward to the discovery as it unfolds, helping to shape the OASIS, and being part of the Posse premiere! What an adventure we will have in 2011…….ready to Saddle Up!
Brenda! Welcome!!
Diana…NICE! so happy you’re IN and can’t wait to meet the rest of the Posse on December 1 and get the ball rolling on 1/11/11!
YAYYYY!!! Happy Thanksgiving
